I've crocheted this hat myself a while ago for my daughter. I does not fit her anymore but I still wanted to keep it so I thought of turning it into a basket for her hair bows.
1. I found a mixing bowl approximately the size of the hat.
2. I fitted the bowl neatly with the hat.
3. I soaked the hat with a mixture of two parts Elmer glue (the kind that dries clear) and one part water.
4. I let the hat dry thoroughly and then I removed it gently
(in hindsight, I little plastic wrap over the bowl, underneath the hat, would
have been a good ideal).
